The "Early Birds" Department of the School Nursery caters for 2-3 year old children; from nappies through to potty training. Early Bird sessions are offered from a 2 hour day to a full 5 day week to accommodate the needs of busy parents. The Unit is open from 8am to 6pm daily as required 51 weeks a year. As with the Nursery Department, the children enjoy a wide variety of stimulating and fun activities all centred around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), based at their individual age levels with a strong emphasis on free play (see Nursery section for further details). The toddlers also enjoy a package of comprehensive care throughout the day and meals include a mid-morning snack, a healthy lunch and a light tea in the afternoon. The Nursery Voucher scheme is used.
