Clive Salmon was appointed to the role of Director of Music in April 2016 having cut his teeth in classrooms in London, with further posts in leadership roles in Deputy Headship and Headship, both for 10 years. He loves languages and graduated with a BA (Hons) in German, having studied modules in Economics, Russian and German at the University College of North Wales. After several posts in commodity trading and in Export sales, and a period of foreign travel. he studied for a PGCE in Education.
He is a past keyboard player for the celebrated soul band ‘Joey the Lips’ and other soul, funk and jazz bands. He writes music and played and sang on a recording of David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ for Children-in-Need with Suzi Quatro, The Kinks, Bronski Beat, The Rubettes and the All-Crucial British Soul Band among others. He enjoys travel, cycling, walking, socialising, time with his daughters and heading off in his camper van.
