Every week of the school term, we publish Blazer Post, a weekly newsletter full of school wide news. Blazer Post is sent out by email to all parents and includes lots of helpful information including fixture updates, lunch menus and notifications.
IES MAGAZINE
Every year IES publishes a magazine filled with content from all the schools in the IES group. The magazine aims to provide an insight into the every day life of all the schools and features work by students, published articles from teachers, news, events and a wide range of stories and articles of interest to all the students and parents in IES schools around the world. Most importantly, the magazine demonstrates the strength of the international links between our schools.

PUBLIC EXAMINATION RESULTS
‘We were absolutely delighted to hear that St John’s had achieved such a great ranking in the Sunday Times Schools Guide. It is another endorsement of the fantastic academic work that is going on at St John’s and we are always delighted to see our school receive recognition of that in the public domain and on a national level. That said, results are only part of what we do here at St John’s. As a school with an extensive network of sister schools around the world and with our fantastic facilities which are receiving further significant investment at the moment, the opportunities for pupils at St John’s go far beyond the classroom’. Key highlights included:
Pupils demonstrate good levels of knowledge, skills and understanding across all levels of learning.
The pupils’ outstandingly well-developed communication skills are encouraged by the school’s leadership and management who provide many opportunities for pupils to speak in public, such as in assemblies, at school presentation events and in external competitions.
Pupils in the EYFS and the junior school have well-developed mathematical skills and are confident in using numeracy across the curriculum.
In the pre-inspection questionnaires a very large majority of pupils agreed that the school encourages them to think and learn for themselves.
Pupils’ evident trust in their teachers underpins the growth in their self-esteem. In interview, several pupils spoke movingly about how the school has helped them grow in self-confidence and resilience, particularly in overcoming personal setbacks and difficulties.
