Learn and have fun this Summer
St John’s School is delighted to be hosting a 2 week Summer Camp this year offering a unique and transformative experience for students.
Combining English language lessons with fun, cultural experiences, the St John’s Summer Camp offers a two week programme for children ages 11-16* from all over the world.
Our British school with on site accommodation is located on a hill overlooking the sea in the town of Sidmouth.
Beautiful historical buildings are combined with excellent facilities, including spacious grounds, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, playing fields, a sports hall, an adventure playground, and tennis courts.

St John’s has a well established boarding community that offers students from many different cultures and backgrounds the opportunity to excel in an extremely safe and caring family atmosphere.
Located in the Regency town of Sidmouth, St John’s enables students to explore the local town and city as well as all the school programme has to offer.
Accommodation at St.John’s
The boarding house at St John’s provides separate accommodation for girls and boys and all access to boarding is controlled by electronic key cards.
St. John’s has 14 boys beds available in single or shared rooms (allocated upon registration) for children and 13 open plan dormitory places bunk beds.
For girls, there are 12 beds in single or twin rooms with 14 bunk the open plan dormitory.
There is a communal kitchen and common area where boarders can relax, read, watch films spend time with friends.

Daily programme
St John’s Summer Language Camp offers overseas children the opportunity to improve or learn English and at the same time enjoy a fun, activity-based summer camp experience.
For children joining the camp, English language lessons form part of every day, with the additional benefit of the complete immersion in an English-speaking environment.
Morning lessons
English lessons start at 9am with a mid-morning break and continue until 12.30pm. Classes are organised by ability and deliver language in a fun environment.
Afternoon Activities
In the afternoon, the children take part in a range of onsite, organised activities including Futsal, Handball, Swimming, Cricket, Archery and Bubble Football.
Once a week, there is a fun excursion in the local region.
Weekends
The children take part in a packed and varied diary of weekend activities and visits which make the most of our many local attractions. These include fossil hunting on the beautiful Jurassic Coast, sampling local foods and paddleboarding on the river.

How long is the St John’s Summer Camp?
The Summer Camp is 2 weeks and runs from 16th – 30th July 2025
How much does it cost?
The Summer Camp costs £2350 for two weeks which includes all accommodation, transport, meals, snacks, activities, excursions and government taxes. All children will also receive a St John’s hoodie.
Transfers from the airport are included when arriving on 16th July and departing on 30th July 2025.
Flights are not included.

How do we arrive at St John’s?
The transfer times from the UK airports are as follows:
Exeter: 30 minutes
Bristol: 1.5 hours
London Gatwick or Heathrow: 3 hours
Is all food is provided?
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, mid-morning and afternoon snacks are all included. Fruit is always available. All main meals have a variery of choices including a hot option, vegetarian option and a salad bar. Packed lunches are provided on activity days. We may also enjoy BBQs and picnics outdoors.

Apply
To secure a place, payment must be made by 28th March 2025. This is non-refundable.*
No places will be confirmed until St John’s receives a copy of the child’s passport, the Registration form, payment and photo of flight tickets.
Arrival
St John’s will collect students from their designated airport on Wednesday 16th July and travel together to school.
Upon arrival, students will be welcomed to the Boarding House by the team where they can unpack, relax and settle into their rooms before the Camp.
